Beatrice Scavino

Advisory Board Member

Beatrice serves as an Advisory Board member of the European Youth Press since November 2024.

She is currently completing her studies in a 5 year Master’s Degree in Law in Turin, Italy, and she started working in the journalistic field since her first year of university by collaborating with the local newspaper “Corriere di Chieri”.

She has specialized as a political reporter and developed through the years a keen interest in war reporting and issues of freedom of the press and thought related to the principle of democracy in authoritarian countries.

She collaborates as a columnist with Italian media “CrisisWatch” and “Osservatorio Russia”, writing articles and analysis on political, legal and cultural issues related to international current affairs.She volunteers as both an Emergency Rescuer and Trainer for the Italian Red Cross.

She is member of the European Law Students Association -Italian National Group- with whom she has had the opportunity to attend the IV Excellence Italian Academy, focused on Diplomacy and International Stability.

During the university years, she has taken part in an humanitarian mission in Senegal for the Italian NGO “Energy for Human Rights”, and also in three Erasmus+ projects in Lithuania, Georgia and Armenia. In December 2022, as an Académie Notre Europe student, she attended the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought Ceremony held in the European Parliament, in Strasbourg. She currently studies and speaks French and Russian.

In her spare time, she enjoys time rowing and spoiling her two Labrador, Ciro & Olivia.
